Book: Just Tell Me What to Say by Betsy Brown Braun

Simple tips for parenting 2+ year-olds. Attachment Parenting with a realistic spin to it. Book: Nature and Young Children by Ruth Wilson

I’m pretty sure this was written for educators, but I love this book.   p. 38 “What is missing in the lives of many young children is time to be playful, creative, and thoughtful. Natural environments offer rich opportunities for play, creativity, and reflection. Children should be given the time to benefit from these rich opportunities. Providing this time — and guarding it form intrusions — should be viewed as one of the primary responsibilities of teachers and parents.” That pretty much is the foundation of Waldorf.; T.V.= bad. Mud= good.

Book: The Thinking Woman’s Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer

This is required reading for anyone giving birth. Throw away  What to Expect after the first trimester.

Book:Natural Health after Birth by Aviva Jill Romm

This is also required reading. I must warn mommies-to-be, Aviva tells it like it is, which means it can be a bit scary. Childbirth is a wild ride and the mother can get lost in the new baby shuffle. This reminds everyone how to care for the Mom. Happy mother=happy baby.
