I feel like a little squirrel, frantically hording nuts for winter. So many events coming up. Last week the girls started pre-school. This week is the celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary, the QuilExpo, Bike the Barns, and the Sheep and Wool Festival. And then great grandpa announced that he is moving to Madison this week, so Manly and I will be driving to Milwaukee to bring him to his new apartment on Thursday. And I signed up to be the school newsletter editor. And Mr. Brown returned to night-school for his MBA.
I am collecting thoughts, ideas, yarn and fabric for the cold winter ahead. I am hoping to have enough inspiration to carry me through to April.
Collecting the time to do them is another matter.
I must go, Manly needs me.

Mr. Brown placed an arrow path to the computer, where he downloaded the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s It’s Blitzed! I-tunes.
Mr. Brown dreamed up and made me lavender plum cake with chocolate sauce and whipped cream….and a side of baby toes. Delicious.
Dear Mr. Brown,
I apologize for the uneventful and laborious Father’s Day weekend. You had to go out, buy, and then plant your father’s day gift. And make your own father’s day breakfast and dinner for the whole family.
Next year I will make you a strawberry rhubarb pie.
I am the luckiest woman in the world to have married a guy as great as you.

Mother’s Day 2009; Ladybird and Mom. Coco was too busy to be in the picture.

Coco dressed for dinner. Ladybird screaming “Bah,Bah, Black sheep”.
Sunday: Mother’s Day. Lovely time at Grandmas. Lots of food and drink and trip to the park.
Monday: Dreaded O.B. appointment. I thought we were going to start scheduling for a c-section after he checked my Iron Cervix. Instead he said all looks good. Fluid levels back down to normal and I am dilating. Right on track for a May 26th delivery. C-section is no longer imminent.
Tuesday: Mucus plug drops out. Never so happy to see dirty underwear. I pack my hospital bag, sure that labor is about to begin.
Wednesday: Start the following 4 part labor induction plan; 1.Drink raspberry leaf tea. 2. Perineal massage 5 minutes a day. 3. Sex to strip the membranes. 4. Daily walks.
Thursday: More of nothing. Talk to best Friend Alis and feel great. God I love her. Yoga that night gives me resolve to continue.
Friday: I am going to be pregnant forever. The house is too small and the Rebels are not napping. Not a good afternoon.
Saturday: News that my cousin gave birth to a healthy girl. Her due date was 5 days after mine. Mr. Brown gets his haircut and buys cigars for the arrival.
Sunday: Start a simple baby hat to keep busy. My hips are so wide I can hardy walk. I decide to make a beautiful pot of iced tea. As I poor the hot water over over the teabags, the heavy glass pitcher cracks in half from the heat. Red water flows over the counter, into the cabinets and under the refrigerator. I just laugh. I should have been more specific when I asked the heavens to let my water break today.
Monday: Read beautiful post on Alis’ s’ blog. About me. Makes me cry. And then drink some chamomile and lavender tea in her honor.
